Twenty years of playing has given Tahnaya Wynne a repertoire that goes well past the usual wedding violin fare. Classical and contemporary, yes, but also pop, jazz, film, Italian, Persian, Bollywood and Afghan. She performs nationally, and her playing has drawn critical praise. Setup is refreshingly simple: entirely wireless, all her own gear, acoustic or electric, and she'll play in a garden, a stadium or on a yacht without a fuss. Weddings are a big part of the work, from the processional through to the first dance, and she'll talk through song choices with you beforehand. Special requests can be arranged. What to expect
Tahnaya Wynne Violinist will want to talk to you before the day, and that conversation is where the performance gets its shape. She asks what the event actually is, who's in the room and what you want it to feel like, then builds the playing around that. Twenty years in means the repertoire stretches a long way past standard wedding violin fare, so a room with a wide mix of ages and backgrounds in it is easy ground rather than a problem. Polished playing, and a real effort to get the music right for your particular day.
On the day
Nothing at all, which is unusual for a musician. The setup is completely wireless and she brings every piece of her own equipment, acoustic or electric depending on what suits. That means no cable runs across your floor and no hunt for a power point at the last minute. A garden, a stadium, the deck of a yacht, it all works the same way. Just point her at the spot where you want the music coming from.
Performance options
For weddings there's a ceremony option covering arrival music, the processional, the signing of the register and the recessional. A reception option handles the bridal entrance, the cake cutting, the first dance and playing through the evening for your guests. Proposals get their own booking of up to an hour of music while you ask the question. And for corporate events and functions there's background playing during arrival drinks, canapes or dinner, with a thirty minute set built as the performance piece.
