One guitar, a stack of looping pedals, a bit of percussion, and two voices that sit together properly. Amanda and Chris are The Corduroys, a Melbourne acoustic duo whose taste wanders between American, British and Australian songwriting, picking up material from the 70s onwards. Their list runs from Matchbox 20 and The Proclaimers to Tracy Chapman, Joni Mitchell, The Angels, INXS, Oasis and Taylor Swift. Sets get tailored on the night, so it can stay laid back through dinner and then turn into dancing. They bring everything they need for the room, smoke machine included if that's your thing.

Good to know
What to expect
Amanda and Chris play with real energy, and they read the room as they go, so the set list bends over the course of the night. It can sit back and stay easy through dinner, then turn towards dance music later. Amanda's voice carries the songs and Chris's harmonies lift them further. Guitar work runs through looping pedals, which is included as standard rather than charged as an extra.
On the day
Everything the room needs travels with the duo, whatever your venue has or hasn't got already. So the practical side of this booking is short. A smoke machine can come along too, should you want one going during the bigger songs.
