The act
From 60s and 70s favourites to current radio songs, The Kicks cover a lot of ground with a three-piece setup built around guitar, bass, drums and vocals. For a wedding, that range would suit anything from canapes to a mixed-age dance floor, especially if you want familiar songs without booking a big lineup. They're based in Perth, WA, and the core band can stay as a trio or expand with keyboards for piano-based songs. You can also add a female singer, which gives you more scope across artists and eras. A detail that stands out is that some members played an acoustic half-time set at the Dockers v Collingwood Anzac Day match in front of 40,000 people.
