Kids at the front, jumping. That's the whole idea behind a Mini Moshers gig, which is a proper live music show pitched at small people rather than a sing-along with a backing track. Expect clapping, plenty of noise and a fair bit of moshing. It works in big open spaces as much as small ones, so community days, corporate family events, festivals, school fetes, early learning centres and Christmas parties all suit it.
Four metres wide by three deep is the space they'd like, either as a stage or a marked-off patch of floor. A standard power point near the performance area runs the PA. If your site has no power at all, say so early and they'll bring a battery-run system instead. Bigger events can ask for a stage plot and sound specs before the day.
Two shapes. The smaller one puts a singer alongside the mascot dancer, and the full band adds an extra singer on top. Beyond the line-up, they'll adapt the show itself: new lyrics and different costumes to match a party theme, which is handy if the whole day already has one. Shopping centres, libraries, kindergartens, childcare centres, vacation care programs, schools, fetes and larger community or corporate events are the settings they cover.
