The act
Two female vocalists out front, four musicians behind who all sing as well, and the harmonies are the thing people remember about The Narrators. The Wollongong six piece move between Aussie classics from Ian Moss, the Divinyls, Mondo Rock, INXS and Noiseworks, disco from The Trammps and Earth Wind & Fire, and rock from Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Pat Benatar and Joan Jett. Set lists get reshuffled often to keep them from going stale, so a request is worth making. They can also start the night with a laid back acoustic session while people eat, then bring the full band in once the plates are cleared. Undercover space is essential for the full setup, and they'll want power and reasonable access.

Good to know
On the day
Undercover space is not negotiable once the full band and lighting are in play. A stage is nice but they'll manage without one. Beyond that it's power at the performance area and a reasonable path in for carrying gear, so think about where the van can stop before you decide where they'll play.
Performance options
Two moods, one booking. Ask for the laid-back acoustic session and they'll play it through the eating and talking part of the night, quiet enough that people can hear each other across a table. Once the room is ready, the full band takes over. It saves you booking two separate acts to cover a long function.
