The act
Classic guitar songs, played by people who have been at it a long while. The StringRays run two lead guitarists and four lead singers, which is why the harmonies sit so full and why the riffs get the attention they deserve. Expect The Eagles, America, Tom Petty, Midnight Oil, R.E.M., Creedence and The Kinks, mostly 70s and 80s with a bit either side. They can plug into a venue PA or bring the lot themselves, and they'll dial the country, pop or rock up or down to suit the room. Melbourne based, and as they put it, egos get checked at the door.

Good to know
What to expect
Guitar riffs, played properly, and harmonies with real weight behind them. The StringRays carry two lead guitarists and four lead singers over a rhythm section that keeps pushing, which is a lot of front line for one band. The spread of voices means the song choices don't have to stay in one lane. Egos get checked at the door, as they put it, and you can hear that in how the parts sit together rather than fighting for room.
On the day
You won't be hiring in sound either way. Where the venue has a PA already installed, The StringRays will plug straight into it. Where it doesn't, they'll bring their own and cover the room themselves. That works across most sizes, from a small function space up to something with a decent crowd in it, so tell them what the venue has and they'll sort the rest.
Performance options
Set lists get written for your event, not pulled from a folder. The StringRays cover enough ground across pop, country and rock that you can push any of those up and pull the others back, so a country leaning afternoon and a rock heavy party come from the same band. Say what the crowd responds to and they'll weight the night accordingly.
