Good to know
What to expect
One person at a piano, but rarely just piano. Tom loops other instruments live underneath what he's playing, so the sound builds out well past what you'd expect from a solo pianist. Between the loops sit his own melodies, and vocals that go for honesty rather than polish. It works both ways: quiet enough to sit under a slow afternoon, or lifted when the room wants something happening. He reads which one you need and pitches the set accordingly.
On the day
Tom brings the lot, instruments and PA both, so nothing is required from your venue on the technical side. Power is the usual expectation. But if you're somewhere without it, an outdoor ceremony or a garden with no lead nearby, he carries a battery amp that runs the whole performance instead of the full rig. Worth flagging when you enquire so he packs the right one.
Performance options
Pubs, bars and restaurants get three sets of forty-five minutes, three hours end to end. Corporate work runs longer or shorter depending on what you need, anywhere from a two-hour set to four. Weddings are handled as a whole day rather than a single spot, so Tom can cover the ceremony, then canapes, then the reception, or just the piece of it you actually need him for. And if none of those shapes fit your run sheet, the set can be built to your timings instead.
