The act
Eighties pop and rock is the heart of it, with seventies disco either side and a decent slab of Aussie pub rock thrown in. Total Recall play Melbourne pubs, clubs, weddings, Christmas parties and corporate nights, and the songs come from INXS, Blondie, Van Halen, Madonna, Bon Jovi, Prince, Journey, the Screaming Jets, Divinyls, Pseudo Echo, Icehouse, Jimmy Barnes, Dragon, Joe Cocker, Simple Minds, Powderfinger, the Choirboys, Fleetwood Mac, Pat Benatar, Noiseworks and Baby Animals, among others. Everyone in the band has twenty years or more behind them. They bring the lot: PA, lighting, synced video and music between sets. Just power, and a heads up if it's coming off a generator.

Good to know
What to expect
Eighties pop and rock is the spine of the show, with seventies disco woven through it, a slab of Aussie pub rock and a few current songs so the younger half of the room stays interested. Vocals sit out front, the guitar solos are the loud kind and the rhythm section holds it all together. Everyone on stage has been doing this twenty years or more, and it tells in how they read a room. The strength of TOTAL RECALL Party Band is taking a familiar song and making it theirs. Dance or sit and listen, both work.
On the day
Power is all they ask of you. The PA, the lighting, the synced video screens and the music that runs between sets are theirs, brought in and set up by the band. One thing worth flagging early: if the power for your event comes off a generator rather than mains, tell them when you enquire so they can plan for it.
