The act
Veronica Lovejoy sings solo with a guitar, and the voice does most of the work. Based near Wollongbar on the NSW north coast, she plays cafes, restaurants, weddings, corporate events and day clubs, and she'll shape the afternoon around what the room wants. Ask for a pub set and you'll get Crowded House, Fleetwood Mac, Toto and Amy Winehouse. Ask for something older and it turns to Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and Irving Berlin. There's a country and blues bracket too, with Dolly Parton, Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks, and a quieter set of songs for background listening. She runs on battery for a three hour set, so a power point is handy but not essential. Insured.

Good to know
On the day
A single power point is preferred, though it isn't a deal breaker. She carries battery enough on board to cover a three hour gig without plugging into anything at all. So if there's a point within reach, she'll use it. And if the spot you've picked hasn't got one, the booking still goes ahead exactly as planned.
Performance options
Pick the mood and she'll build the afternoon around it. The classic pub set is 70s, 80s and 90s hits meant for singing and dancing, taking in Crowded House, Amy Winehouse, Toto and Fleetwood Mac. Early pop reaches back to the 50s and 60s with Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and Irving Berlin, which lands especially well with an older crowd. There's a country and blues party set built on Dolly Parton, Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks. And Songs From The Heart is the delicate one, written for rooms where the music sits underneath the conversation rather than over the top of it.
