Brothers Saxon and Jarvis Whittaker have been doing this for more than a decade, and the harmonies are the giveaway. Whitt's End works through rock and pop from the 60s to the 2000s, with classical and country showpieces dropped in when the moment allows. Think Ziggy Stardust, Mr Brightside, Sweet Child O' Mine, Valerie, Wonderwall. Festivals, bars and events from Hong Kong to Nashville and back home in Queensland have shaped the set into a mix of deep cuts and songs everyone knows. Crowd interaction is offered rather than forced, so you can dial it up or leave them to play. They bring mixer, speakers, mics and stands. You supply seats. Available as a duo, a soloist or a trio with bass and drums.

Good to know
What to expect
Two brothers on guitars, and the harmonies are what people remember. The playing is genuinely good, and the set is put together to hold both the deep cuts and the songs the whole room knows. Crowd engagement is offered, not imposed: if you want them working the audience they will, and if you'd rather they simply played, that works too. Presentation is taken seriously, from turning up on time to what they wear. Book them as a duo, or as a single performer.
On the day
They arrive with mixer, speakers on stands, microphones and stands, so effectively the whole sound rig is theirs. What they ask of you is seating, two chairs at playing height. Beyond that there's very little to organise on your end.
