The act
Yasmin Arkinstall is a mezzo soprano who finished a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium in 2018. Opera, classical, musical theatre and classical crossover all sit inside her range, which is why the same singer works for a traditional ceremony and a modern party. A typical 45 minute set is multi lingual: O Sole Mio, O Mio Babbino Caro, Habanera from Carmen, La Vie En Rose, Ave Maria, Somewhere Over the Rainbow. She has sung on Studio 10 in 2019 and 2023, featured in the Australian Women's Weekly and on ABC News, supported Bill Bailey's En Route to Normal at the State Theatre in 2022, and received two Creative Australia grants to tour her one woman show OCDiva around NSW. In 2025 she sang for the Women's Ashes. She brings her own mic and battery powered PA, and works weddings, funerals, dinners and parties. Insured, with a current Working With Children Check.

What to expect
Yasmin is a classical singer, a mezzo soprano, and her sets take in opera, classical, musical theatre and classical crossover alongside contemporary songs given the operatic treatment. A typical programme runs from operatic staples such as Ave Maria through musical theatre standards like Somewhere Over the Rainbow and into more recent material, La Vie En Rose among it. She has set lists ready for weddings, funerals, dinners and parties, and will recommend one for the occasion. Requests are welcome.
On the day
Yasmin arrives with her own microphone and a battery powered PA, which she sings over backing tracks through. Because the power comes from the PA itself, a garden ceremony or a spot with no outlet nearby is no barrier.
