Wedding DJs: what couples ask
Practical answers about pricing, timing and what to confirm before you book.
How much does a wedding DJ cost?
Typical reception bookings fall between about $900 and $2,500 depending on hours, equipment and whether MC duties are included. Lighting packages and extra hours add to that.
DJ or band?
A DJ gives you every song exactly as recorded, a smaller footprint and usually a lower cost. A band gives you a live performance and a focal point. Many couples book a band for the main sets and a DJ for the late set or in-between music.
Can the DJ MC the night?
Many offer it. If you want announcements handled, ask specifically; it changes how the night runs and sometimes the price.
Tell us about the day once.
We’ll match your brief against the current catalogue and send suitable entertainment options and quotes.
